Trail Ambassadors are the eyes and ears of the trails.  As a Trail Ambassador, you play an important role in helping to keep Oneida’s trails inviting and in good shape.

The City is looking for Trail Ambassadors for 3 of Oneida’s trail systems:

1.DuRoss Conservancy

2. Mt Hope Reservoir

3. Oneida Rail Trail

All Trail Ambassadors receive an official City of Oneida Trail Ambassador hat, Trail Ambassador Manual and a map with key information about the trails!

What do you actually do as a Trail Ambassador?

The biggest thing is just walk your section of trail (which you choose) regularly and report what you see!   How frequent is “regularly”?  If you can walk your section of trail at least just once a month that is all we need!  After you visit your section of trail simply send an email with a report of what you saw during your visit!  That’s it!

Want to apply?  Fill out this short application and submit it to the City of Oneida Parks and Recreation Department located at 217 Cedar St, Oneida.
